COVID 19 RULES

Lake Cyrus Pool
IMPORTANT COVID 19 RULES TO HELP MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING AND A SAFE ENVIROMENT
1. Maximum number of people allowed in the pool area will be equal to the number of chairs spaced 6 feet apart.
2. Pool monitor will be on duty at all times for sign in, capacity spacing, assist with sanitation, and enforce the COVID 19 rules.
3. Please consider all Members regarding your time spent at the pool so that it is not necessary to set time limits.
4. Bring your own disinfectant, wipes and sanitizer to use on any surfaces you come in contact with.
5. Towels must be used to cover all lounge chairs. If you do not have a towel you will be asked to return home for one. It is not an option to sit on the pool deck.
6. No pool toys are allowed. Floatation devices for non-swimmers are permitted.
7. There is not a janitor on duty to clean the bathrooms constantly, therefore use them at your own risk.
8. No pool furniture is to be moved and no outside furniture is allowed.
9. Residents only please, no guests can be allowed at this time. Babysitters, in lieu of parents, are not guest.
10. Maintain a 6ft social distance, except members of the same household. Some lounge chairs will be grouped in sets of 2 or 4 to accommodate families.
11. If you have any symptoms of an illness, or someone in your household is sick, please stay home.
If the pool manager states that the pool is at maximum capacity, we ask that Members respectfully understand and return at a later time.
The Club reserves the right update these rules as the State of Alabama, Jefferson County Health Department or our legal counsel advises.

The following constitutes the Rules and Regulations of the Lake Cyrus Swim & Tennis Club, (the “Club”). These Rules and Regulations may be altered, amended and modified at any time and from time to time by the Board of Directors of the Club. All Members of the Club and their respective family members and guests shall abide by and comply with all of the following Rules and Regulations.

The Club at Lake Cyrus is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property. Failure to abide by the above rules may result in restriction of tennis privileges, revocation of membership, or such other action as the Director of Tennis may deem appropriate.

GENERAL CLUB RULES
NO POOL GUEST POLICY SUMMER 2020
As our membership continues to grow, our Guest Policy is subject to change.
Guest Fee: $5 per person payable when you sign in. Members are limited to 2 guest and
guest are limited to 3 visits, unless special arrangements have been requested.
The following are not subject to a Guest fee.
- Out of town guest, with valid evidence of out of town residency.
- Visiting Grandparents/Children of Members
- Babysitters, in the parent’s absence and listed on the Member’s application.
POOL RULES
- Members and their guest must sign in at the front gate.
- Use of the pool facilities at the Club at any time is at the swimmer’s own risk.
- Swimming is permitted only during open hours of the pool.
- Children under 14 years of age are permitted to use the pool facilities only if accompanied and supervised by an adult person 18 years of age or older.
- Showers are required prior to entering the pool.
- Glass objects, drinking glasses, sharp objects, food and tobacco products are not permitted in the pool area. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on or within the pool area.
- All swimmers must wear bona fide swimming attire. Cut-offs, jeans, thongs and bermuda shorts are not considered appropriate swimwear and are not allowed.
- Children who are not potty trained are required to wear plastic pants under their swimsuits when entering the pool. All children must be properly dressed in swimming attire at all times. No children in diapers are allowed in the pool.
- Running, ball playing, noisy or hazardous activity will not be permitted in the pool area. Pushing, dunking and dangerous games are not permitted.
- Electronics may only be used at low volume or with earphones.
- All persons using the pool furniture are required to cover the furniture with a towel when using suntan lotions.
- All persons using the pool area are urged to cooperate in keeping the area clean by properly disposing of towels, cans, trash, etc.
- Saving chairs for persons absent from the pool area is not permitted.
- Private parties may be held in the pool area only with a reservation and completed rental agreement approved by the Club Manager.
- Flotation devices are permitted for non-swimming children up to the age of five years. Any non-swimming children must be accompanied in the water by their parent or adult guardian. Pool toys such as balls, water guns, rings, etc., are permitted at the discretion of the Club Manager dependent on the number of people in the pool and the manner in which the toys are used. Tire inner tubes are not permitted.
- The throwing of balls, frisbees, wet clothes, etc., is not permitted at any time in the pool area.
- Only children under the age of three may utilize the baby pool.
- Smoking is prohibited on any of the Club property
GYM RULES
- The Gym is for the exclusive use of Members and their invited Guest.
- Members must be 16 years old to use the Gym without their parent’s supervision
- Any inappropriate behavior in the gym will result in termination of membership.
- Proper work out clothing must be worn at all times including shoes and shirt
- No wet clothing is allowed in the Gym at any time.
- No food or drink except non- glass water bottle is allowed in the Gym.
- Absolutely NO GUM is allowed in the GYM, POOL, CLUBHOUSE or any Club property.
TENNIS RULES AND REGULATIONS
(THESE RULES WILL BE STRICLY ENFORCED)
- NO TRESPASSING (anyone who is not a Member of the tennis club is trespassing). Tennis courts privileges require Full Club membership or Tennis Club membership. Pool membership does not include tennis privileges.
- You must sign in before playing and be assigned a court by Tennis Management.
- Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult Member or duly qualified sitter unless in a clinic, private lesson or camp.
- Do NOT sit on or jump over tennis nets.
- Guest Fees: Guest fees are $10.00 per person per play and are limited to 3 guest visits. Guest MUST be accompanied by a Member. Fees are payable to the Tennis or Club Manager on duty or BEFORE playing.
- Reserving Courts: Courts may be reserved by emailing or calling the Tennis Management (205-276-2165) or in person at the clubhouse and are on a first come first serve basis.
- Lessons: Lessons are only to be conducted by professionals covered under the Director of Tennis.
- Dress Code: Proper tennis shoes and approved tennis clothing must be worn. Shirts must be worn at all times.
- No SKATEBOARDING, skates, basketballs, volleyballs or other play equipment is allowed on the courts AT ANY TIME.
- No Loitering - NO 4 Wheelers - NO Motorcycles anywhere on Club property.

Assignment of Courts
- The assignment of courts is regulated by Tennis Management.Reservations are reserved on a first come, first serve basis.
- All persons desiring to play shall first sign the register at the courts or the clubhouse.Registration shall govern the order of play.
- No more than one hour play while members are waiting and courts are full.
- All Sunday team tennis matches and Thursday mixed combo night shall have priority on 5 of the 10 courts.
- During the period of a USTA sanctioned tournament, the number of courts available and the time they may be used shall be regulated by the Tennis Management
Court Etiquette
- Turn off lights when finished.
- Brush courts when finished.
- There is a use of maximum 3 balls for play unless in a lesson.
- Do not leave empty tins, tin tops, plastic waste or other trash on the courts.
- Please close the gates when entering and leaving the courts.
USTA League Rules
- All USTA teams must be registered to play on these courts
- All USTA flex teams must be registered to play on these courts
- All Organized team practices must be cleared to practice.
- If your team has not been cleared and a team that has the courts reserved shows up you will be bumped off the courts by the scheduled team.
- If you do not want to comply with these rules, you will be asked to leave.If you refuse to leave, the authorities will have you removed.

GENERAL CLUB RULES
- Animals and pets are not allowed on or within the Clubhouse or within the pool or tennis areas of the Club; provided, however, seeing-eye dogs may accompany those Members or properly introduced guests who are in need of such special assistance.
- Vehicles left unattended on any of the Club property after closing are subject to being towed at the expense of the owner thereof.
- All Members will be held responsible for the conduct of their guests, their children and their children’s guests while on Club property and for their adherence to all of the Rules and Regulations of the Club. Each Member shall be responsible and reimburse the Club or third parties for any damage to the Club property or to the property of others caused by such Member’s guests, the Member’s children or their children’s guests. Members may be disciplined for any violation of these Rules and Regulations by their children or guests.
- The Club Manager shall have the right to require any Member and his or her guests to leave the Club property due to conduct which, in the opinion of such Club Manager, is unbecoming or disorderly.
- Controlled Substances (as defined by state and federal laws), other than those prescribed by a physician for medical reasons, are not permitted on the Club property.
- The Club management may enact dress codes mandating and/or prohibiting certain types of dress within all or certain portions of the Club.
- Firearms and ammunition are not permitted in the Clubhouse or anywhere else on Club property.
- The facilities of the Club are for the exclusive use, accommodation and enjoyment of the Members of the Club and their invited guests. Guests of a Member may be entertained at the Club only when accompanied by the Member who invited such guest. The conduct and behavior of guests are the responsibility of the Member host. A Member shall not introduce as a guest any person who has been suspended or expelled from the Club unless such person has been reinstated or his record is so clear so as to make him eligible for reinstatement. Unescorted guests shall not be left at the pool, tennis courts or on Club property.
- Neither the Club, its directors, officers, employees or contractors, shall be liable for any injuries to person or damage to or loss of property involving Members, guests or other persons on the Club premises. Each Member agrees to indemnify and hold Club, its officers and employees harmless from and against any and all claims made by their guests or invitees as a result of any personal injury, damage to or loss of property occurring on the Club premises not proximately caused by the gross negligence or willful or wanton conduct of the Club’s employees.
- A Member desiring to give a private party shall complete a rental contract with the Club Manager and, if required, shall post a security deposit in such amount as may be required by the Club Manager.
- Club property removed, damaged or destroyed by a Member or Member’s guest will be charged to such Member. The Club is not responsible for any private property belonging to a Member, any Member’s children or any Member’s guests.
- Smoking is prohibited on all of the Club property.
